Introduction:
Purpose: In this unit we learned about evolution through dissections, lectures, research, and from reading the textbook. This was a very long unit that took about two months to complete. Along with evolution we also learned about ecology and even talked briefly about creationism. Our class had a debate on evolution versus creationism, which was very interesting because it showed us both points of view. Overall this unit taught me alot
Evidence of work:
Dissections:
One of the main components of STEM is hands on learning, which takes place in dissections. Dissecting an organism gives you more data and a better understanding of the organism's internal organs and their functions. We dissected a variety of different animals, including sponges, jellyfish, squid, earthworms, fish, and frogs.
